Microsoft updated the Edge browser to the stable channel to version 108.0.1462.54 on December 16, 2022. The update contains the latest fixes from the Chromium team, an extension of the free volume data VPN on Edge from 1 to 15 Gbyte. And one last thing: an Edge update on February 14, 2023 will end Internet Explorer on Windows 10.
According to the release notes, the Microsoft Edge Stable Channel update (version 108.0.1462.54) includes the latest Chromium security updates.

Months ago, it was reported that Edge had options to use a free network VPN (Microsoft Edge Secure Network) in σελίδα of its settings. Back then a data transfer volume of 1 GByte was included. According to one user on reddit.com Microsoft increased the data volume per month to 15 GByte.
It has been known for a long time that Microsoft wants to replace Internet Explorer in various versions of Windows 10. Also, Internet Explorer 11 will no longer be supported as a desktop application in some versions of Windows 10 starting June 15, 2022. Exceptions will be they are only Windows 10 LTSC or Windows Server editions. Microsoft had announced it from May 2021.
So Microsoft disables Internet Explorer 11 on February 14 2023 and all calls to IE will be redirected to Edge.
