Microsoft continues to develop the new app tourChromium-based Microsoft Edge. But no one expected to see the stable build so soon.
Download links for the stable version of Microsoft Edge are already being released, in addition to existing versions for Canary, Dev and Beta.
Officially, only the last three editions of Microsoft Edge are available right now, with Canary releasing an update every day, while the Dev version brings new improvements every week. The Beta build offers updates every six weeks.
Microsoft has so far said nothing about the fixed release of Microsoft Edge and has not announced a possible release date.
But he announced it TechDows, a search on Google for the term “Microsoft Edge stable” directs users to the official download link of the stable version of Microsoft Edge stored on Microsoft's servers. The new one is not yet included in the Microsoft Edge Insider program page.
Clicking on the first Google result will start downloading the supposedly fixed version of Microsoft Edge. The application will be downloaded and installed correctly, while the browser version is 78.0.276.19. Everything seems to be running smoothly and checking for updates seems to work well, without any error.
Chromium-based Edge is expected to replace the current Edge version on Windows 10 with the release of the update capabilities 20H1. This update is expected to be released in spring 2020 – according to Microsoft's schedule.
We are still waiting for the official release for Edge based on Chromium, and it looks like it won't be long.
