Microsoft Edge is preparing a new one mode that will allow you to add text to PDF documents without using third-party software on Windows or macOS.
This feature is called "Add Text" and is now available to Microsoft Edge users using the Canary Channel.
Microsoft seems to have heard user feedback, and the upcoming update will allow support for adding text to PDF documents.
To add text, open the PDF document in Microsoft Edge 94 (Canary) and click Add Text, as shown in the image below.
Or you can also right-click anywhere in the document to add a text box. When you're done, you can save, print, or email it.
Microsoft Edge also allows you to resize it fonts, fill with color or change text color.
This feature will be available to everyone with the Edge 94.
The upcoming Microsoft Edge will also feature an enhanced Immersive Reader with the ability to change column styles. For example, you will soon be able to make the columns wider and switch between three styles: narrow, medium or wide.
It will also improve sleeping tabs, a feature that “sleeps” pro tabsletterof tours after one minute of inactivity.
The next big update of Edge with the improved Immersive Reader, the sleeping tabs and the new possibilities for editing PDFs will be released in the fourth week of September.
