Microsoft Edge is preparing a new feature that lets you add text to PDF documents without using third-party software on Windows or macOS.
This feature is called "Add Text" and is now available to Microsoft Edge users using the Canary Channel.
Microsoft seems to have heard the comments of users and the upcoming information will allow support for adding text to PDF documents.
To add a text, open the PDF document in Microsoft Edge 94 (Canary) and click on choice “Add Text”, as shown in the image below.
Or you can also right-click anywhere in the document to add a text box. When you're done, you can save, print, or email it.
Microsoft Edge also allows you to resize it fonts, fill with color or change text color.
This feature will be available to everyone with the Edge 94.
The upcoming Microsoft Edge will also bring an improved Immersive Reader feature changes column style. For example, you'll soon be able to make columns wider and switch between three styles: narrow, medium, or wide.
It will also improve the sleeping tabs, a feature that "sleeps" the browser tabs after a minute of inactivity.
The next big update to Edge with improved Immersive Reader, sleeping tabs and new features for processing of PDFs will be released in the fourth week of September.
