Microsoft has started sending out invitations to a "special event" in New York next month. "Mark your calendars for Thursday, September 21, 2023, for a special Microsoft event," reads the invitation to members of the press.
Microsoft usually holds Surface events in September or October, so it's very likely we'll see new PCs next month.

The company is rumored to be preparing the Surface Go 4, Surface Laptop Studio 2, and Surface Laptop Go 3 for the fall. The windows Central recently reported that the updated Surface Laptop Studio 2 will come with the latest Intel processors, a more powerful GPU, and an improved selection of ports. Microsoft also reportedly swapped out a Surface Go 4 with an Arm processor for an Intel processor. The Surface Go 3 is rumored to launch with Intel's 12th generation processors and improved configuration.
Microsoft's "special event" could also include details on the next big Windows 11 update. Microsoft has already revealed that it plans to release the September update for Windows 11, which will includes native support for RAR and 7-Zip archives, a new initial settings page, a better volume mixer and an early access to Windows Copilot.
