The Windows 25931 build 11, which is currently available for testing in the Canary Channel, comes with a small but very welcome tweak: the operating system allows you to uninstall even more Microsoft apps (stock apps). If you don't need some of them you can right click on them and select uninstall.
According to the release notes for build 25931, Windows 11 now allows uninstalling the Photos app (the one coming soon to Windows 10 users), the People app, and the Remote Desktop client (MSTSC).
However, only the Photos app is available in the Start menu. The Photos and Remote Desktop apps can be removed from Settings. Press the Win + I keys together (or open Settings any way you like), go to Apps > Installed apps, and tap the three-dots button next to the program you want to delete. Then click Uninstall.
With build 25931 the People, Photos, and Remote Desktop apps joined the ever-growing list of easily removed apps.
Other changes in the latest Canary build of Windows 11 include File Explorer improvements, new emoji, DC locator changes and more which you can find in full release notes.
