Another Fair Play example from Microsoft

1. to see the message (security tip) and
2. to highlight once again the practice of the company which apparently has nothing to do with the term play

The new message that appears advertises the security level of the Edge browser.firefox-edge

These ads- appeared for the first time in early November, and a spokesman for Microsoft said they are in fact alerts to help users discover the benefits of Windows 10.

So, with posts in Reddit, there are new notifications that show that Edge is safer than Mozilla Firefox and Chrome.
The message appears whenever users open another browser other than Edge.

Is Fair Play by Microsoft? The company, of course, has given a choice to disable these tips.

If you do not want to see the "unbiased" advice of Microsoft you can turn them off by following the path below:

– System – Notifications και απενεργοποιήστε την επιλογή “Get tips, tricks, and as you use Windows.”

Microsoft, of course, does not see any reason to do this:

"As we continue to improve Microsoft Edge, we want to keep our users informed of the great new features available in the browser but also in Windows 10 from notifications. Windows Tips notifications was created to provide quick, easy information that can help enhance the user experience in windows 10. ”

It goes without saying that Microsoft is betting big on its new Edge and Windows in general, but an aggressive promotion of its products, could to easily make a double-edged knife.

Public adoption of Edge is currently at 5 percent, and using notifications of work that promote the browser by "burying" trusted third-party applications is not the best way for the company to increase the adoption rate.
