The company's spokesman explained that sharing telemetry data is not a condition of the new partnership, so the information collected by Windows 10 systems will be available exclusively for Microsoft.
"The nature of the agreement between Microsoft and FireEye is only to license FireEye iSIGHT Intelligence threat assessment software. This additional layer of information includes previous attack markers and reports collected and processed by FireEye to enhance the Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (WDATP) detection capabilities. The agreement does not include the exchange of Microsoft telemetry data ", the company representative explained.
