If you've been thinking about playing the latest ultra-realistic version of Microsoft Flight Simulator but are intimidated by the size of the game, we've got good news for you: starting today the original installation of the game is much shorter.
Initially the game needed to install around 170 GB on a hard drive, but the change log of the latest version states that the optimizations have reduced the required space to 83 GB.
The news is probably welcome to anyone with little speed on the Internet, small disk, or who wants to compress the game on an SSD for better performance.
We do not yet know what Microsoft did to save space, and what it had to delete to save it is worth a few hundred megabytes.
