Microsoft's Paint AI image creator is now available for all users of the company. Microsoft originally announced the new feature in September 2023, but didn't roll it out to everyone.
Even those who noticed the new “Cocreator” button in the Paint app had to sign up for a waiting list before they could start using the new tool.
Cocreator essentially brings Dall-E 3 to Paint. It is an AI designed to create images from text. A click on the icon will explain the basic concepts on first run. The UI is very similar to other AI generation UIs.
You'll see a text field at the top that you can use to describe the image you want the AI to create. Cocreator only supports English at this time. Below that is a selector for the art style. It supports various art styles such as pixel art, photorealistic, anime, oil painting or digital art.
Microsoft gives users 50 credits to use Cocreator. One unit is enough to create three images with AI. So the company lets you create a total of 150 images.
Η Microsoft support page for the new feature reveals that Cocreator is only available in select countries at this time.
