Microsoft added artificial intelligence even to Notepad

Microsoft added a feature to Notepad called Rewrite. The new feature will let you use artificial intelligence to "rephrase sentences, adjust tone and modify your content."

If you're a Windows Insider with early access to the new feature, you can try it out by highlighting the text you want to adjust in Notepad, right-clicking on it, and choosing Rewrite. Notepad will then display a dialog box where you can decide how you want to change your text – for example, if it needs to be longer or smaller. Rewrite will then give you three rewritten versions with which to replace the text in your work.

It's worth mentioning that you'll need to sign in to your Microsoft account to use Rewrite, as it's "powered by a cloud-based service that requires authentication and authorization."

Microsoft is pushing this feature as a preview in Windows 11 in the US, France, UK, Canada, Italy, and Germany.
In July, Microsoft released the spell check and autocorrect for Notepad.
