Microsoft has begun developing a new Outlook.com beta today. It is a web-only beta enabled through the "try the beta" command in Outlook.com, and should be available to all users in the coming weeks.
This is the third in-line design Outlook.com from 2012. Microsoft informs that its new design Outlook.com will bring improved discussion view, and the ability to read and attach files much faster.
The new search interface is at the top of the inbox now, not on the side. The new Outlook.com environment will do preview files and photos in your chat list, making it more immediate to preview a specific e-mail with attachments. Microsoft has also made it easier to find people in your inbox by marking people as favorites.
Outlook.com beta includes popular pictures GIF and emojis that can be inserted into emails along with a search interface to search for them.
Microsoft plans to add the new features over the coming months, including updates to the Outlook.com calendar. You can sign up for the beta version via the link, and there's also a switch that lets you go back to the regular version of Outlook.com if you don't like it. Microsoft is asking for your feedback on all features.
