Microsoft released the first 10 Windows 2020 preview of April XNUMX

Microsoft has released the first preview of Windows 10 that will be released in April 2020. No, it is not a typo. Windows 10 20H1 development work begins.

Windows

Microsoft has released the first build preview not of Windows 10 19H2, as you'd normally expect, but of the next update for its operating system, which will come to us in the spring of 2020.

You might find the news a bit strange, given that Microsoft hasn't finished rolling out the April 2019 update, which is codenamed 19H1 and is expected to launch as build 1903. but it explains its haste, saying that some of the features it plans for the first version of 2020 require long-term testing.

By making the first preview available so early, Microsoft wants to get more feedback from users. However, the company has not yet provided details of these features that it wants to try. The 201 version is only available for Skip Ahead users.

This is reported by Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows program : “Some things we are working on in 20H1 require more time ς. Θα ξεκινήσουμε να απελευθερώνουμε την 19Η2 στους Insiders αργά in the spring, since we will have finished with 19H1. Once the 19H1 will be "almost ready", we will use the preview ring to check the quality of the 19H1 ο drivers.

As a result, Windows 10 build 18836 is now available for download, but only for registered Windows users who are in the Skip Ahead ring. There are no new features in this first build, as Microsoft paves the way for more significant improvements. You can see the complete changelog in Doan Sarkar's announcement.

Skip Ahead records have already been closed as Microsoft offers limited space on this channel because creations released to these users may contain significant bugs or performance problems.
