Η Microsoft is renaming the popular cloud storage service SkyDrive to OneDrive.
It does not change much, except maybe by the name, something that Microsoft says was quite difficult!
"Of course, changing the name of the product we loved so much, SkyDrive was not easy. We believe that new OneDrive name gives the value it can offer you and better represents our vision for the future " said Ryan Gavin, General Manager for Applications and Consumer Services.
He explains that they chose OneDrive because they want it to be the "place" where the most important things are stored.
“One place for all your photos and videos. One place for all your documents. A position that is completely connected to all Appliances που useste” writes Gavin.
Today's users of SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro will not need to do anything special except wait until the new brand will make it appear. The service will continue to work just like today's but with another name.
