Microsoft: Cumulative Update Error KB4535996

Microsoft has confirmed that it is investigating a new bug that occurred after a cumulative update of 10. This update was not released recently, but last February.

Microsoft: Cumulative Update Error KB4535996

The Redmond company reports that cumulative update KB4535996 could cause connecting to the Internet into a Windows 10 installed, so right now it's reportedly looking at existing reports to figure out what's going on.

“After installing KB4535996 on a Windows 10 device with wireless wide area network (WWAN) LTE modems, you may not be able to access the Internet, even though the Network Connection Status (NCSI) indicator in the notification area appears to be connected ” he says Microsoft.

This cumulative update was aimed at Windows 10 version 1903 and version 1909, as both have almost the same code and therefore receive the same updates. Microsoft says a similar Internet connection error could occur on Windows Server 1903 and 1909.

There is not much you can do at the moment, but the company claims that it is already developing a patch and that it will be released by mid-July, ie in the Patch Tuesday July July 2020.

"Windows 10 versions for education customers, such as Windows 10 Pro Education are based on the commercial version of Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Education is based on Windows 10 Enterprise. "This error is not expected to have a negative impact on our customers," said Microsoft.

And this error will be fixed, the company says.
