With Microsoft’s massive promotional campaigns around all of its Copilot products, most people are now aware that the product is integrated into Windows, Office, and pretty much everything else. However, many are probably unaware of the full extent of that integration. A friend of the company discovered that there are now 80 separate Microsoft products bearing the “Copilot” name, and there may now be even more.
This number comes from Tey Bannerman, an AI strategy and design consultant, who took on the demanding – but rewarding – task of counting all the Copilot products now integrated into the Microsoft ecosystem.
He explained that he decided to do it after trying to describe Copilot to someone and realizing he couldn't, due to the huge variety of the product.
In early April 2026, Bannerman found the total to be 78 (and now 80 at this point). The number includes not only apps and features, but also an entire class of laptops (Copilot+ computers) and a tool designed specifically for building more Copilots (Copilot Studio).
The methodology Bannerman used to compile the incredible number was quite tedious. Without an official Microsoft product catalog, he had to dig through everything from product pages, release announcements, and marketing materials. He then turned the results into an interactive visualization, which is available here. on his personal blog.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
