Microsoft confirms the mandatory update of Windows 10

A few days ago we mentioned that Microsoft will not allow you to block downloading and installing updates with upcoming Windows 10.Windows 10

From Windows 10 build 10240, which is said to be an RTM candidate, the company has confirmed that this will be in accordance with the terms of the EULA.

Computers running Windows 10 Home will receive updates and security patches automatically without the option of blocking, or refusing the service.

The Windows 10 Licensing Agreement (or EULA) states:

The Software periodically checks for system and app updates, and downloads and installs them for you.

You may obtain updates only from Microsoft or authorized sources, and Microsoft may need to update your system to provide you with those updates.

By accepting this agreement, you agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice.

But what happens to Windows 10 Pro users? This particular version of Windows is equipped with a new feature called Windows Update for Business, and will allow system administrators to postpone or delay updates for 8 months.

Customers who are embracing Current Branch for Business need to consume that feature update within the allotted time period of approximately eight months or they will not be able to see and consume the next security update.

This means that administrators can wait for more than half a year to find out if there are any issues with these updates and then just install them on their computer.

Windows 10 Enterprise version now. The business version will be able to use the Long Term Service Branch (also known as LTSB), which will allow updates every few years and is only recommended for those who do not necessarily need the latest features and enhancements of Windows.
