Microsoft: officially shuts down Windows Vista support

Microsoft today announced the official end of support for Windows Vista, an operating system which has existed for the last 10 years, and can be considered as a failure of it s.

In a new release in the company support forum, Microsoft announced that 11 in April of 2017 will no longer receive updates and hotfixes for security issues. The company also reported that it stops any support options for free or for a fee.

"Microsoft has been providing support for Windows Vista for the past 10 years, but the time has come to invest our resources in the latest technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences."

Vista users will be able to continue using their system after expiration, but developers will gradually cease to develop software for the platform. Of course there will be a risk of falling into various security vulnerabilities.

Microsoft also announced that it will “stop providing the of Microsoft Security Essentials” for Vista.

If you are one of those who have a Windows Vista system, Microsoft advises you to upgrade to Windows 10.

As for us, better try Linux, open source, free and much more secure.
