Ivan Davidov has announced the new version of Minimal Linux Live (MLL). The 15-Dec-2019 version. MLL is a tiny, educational Linux distribution designed to be built from scratch on your computer using a collection of automated shell scripts.
It offers a basic environment with only the Linux kernel, the GNU C library and the Busybox utilities.
Changes to the new version include:
“Software-based update - the new MLL uses the Linux 5.4.3 kernel, and the GNU C 2.30 library with Busybox 1.31.1. The ISO image file is in 10MB (x86_64) and requires 256MB RAM to function properly.
It has DNS solutions from CloudFlare - by default MLL has three DNS solutions: Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8), Quad4 (4.4.4.4) and Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1)
It has the GraalVM overlay bundle containing JDK, Python, Ruby and Node.JS, as well as the OpenJDK overlay bundle containing JDK from the AdoptOpenJDK project. ”
