The biggest upgrade since the first MintBox Mini is in the processor, as the company swapped AMD for a quad-core Intel Celeron J3455.
The image above shows that the Mini 2 is slightly larger than the One mouse, but in its base configuration (which costs $299) it has 4GB of RAM and 64GB solid-state drive and “Apollo Lake” series CPUs.
With 50 dollars in addition, you can have the Pro version, which has twice the RAM and more storage capacity (120GB). The MintBox Mini 2 features a USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0, HDMI output and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
If you don't prefer wired internet, the Mini 2 has 802.11ac Wi-Fi built-in, and Bluetooth support.
Of course, the most important thing is that the Mini 2 comes with it Mint 19 preinstalled. Distribution in the 19 version features the Timeshift system recovery feature.
