For the third consecutive year, Greek companies operating in the mobile communications sector will not only see their presence in Mobile World Congress the city of Gaudi and the capital of mobile telephony from 2 to 5 March of 2015.
The Greek national stand is organized by the initiative of the Association of Mobile Application Companies of Greece (SEKEE) and with the support of the Greek state and will be attended by more than 30 exhibitors, presenting innovative products and value-added services for mobile devices.
At the Greek stand located in Hall 8.1 (Booth I49), a wide range of products and technologies in various fields will be presented: from microelectronics and useful digital services (mPayments, mHealth, mTourism) but also Internet of Things applications and innovative solutions in marketing and content management.
The exhibitors will also present a host of mobile user services such as high-speed mobile broadband and video streaming, games, business solutions, and mobile applications.
The annual Mobile World Congress is considered the biggest event in the world of digital communications and the most prominent industry benchmark.
The goal of the Greek participation in the Mobile World Congress 2015, which is this year's motto: Growing the Ecosystem, is to expand the Greek ecosystem of innovation and extroversion by linking it to the world. To promote the solutions offered by its member companies on the international mobile scene and to demonstrate that both these and the related services add significant added value to the world ecosystem of the industry.
Naturally, companies and institutions participating in the Greek Pavilion will benefit from their presence in Barcelona, to enhance their networking and ties with customers and partners, with significant extroversion moves.
The space of mobile applications in Greece today it includes more than 100 companies, which employ at least 5.000 workers, the vast majority of whom hold a university or postgraduate degree. They are present in over 40 countries around the world and several of them play a leading role in their field.
Traditionally, they supply SE Europe with solutions and services in the field of Information & Communication Technologies, but their next goal is to promote a much larger portfolio of solutions and their penetration in the global market, now, by capitalizing on their local successes.
Among the supporters of the mission of SEKEE, for the projection of the Greek mobile communications industry during MWC 2015, including InnovAthens, the Technopolis Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub of the Municipality of Athens, the Computerization Development Company (DAEM), the Greek ICT industry, Research & Development Institutions, Higher Education Institutions & Agencies, as well as start-ups.
This effort has been called upon to support with the participation of other 4 collective business operators from the field of digital technology and communication. This collaboration is the continuation of a series of extroverted actions that we have planned and the 5 business associations (semiconductor, aerospace, biocluster and start-ups), entitled Synergies, for 2014 and 2015.
These synergies enhance cooperation between the most important partners in the area, as they facilitate the approach of a large number of enterprises of different origins and sectors.
