Google today announced Movies Anywhere, an on-demand platform that transfers productions and releases from Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, and (of course) Google Play to a single library.
The new feature extends support for an already large feature called the Family Library, where multi-user users can share movies between their devices if they are connected to the same master account.
Since today the feature has become a cross-platform, allowing the sharing of movies from each device is linked to the account.
Initially, the included movies are limited to very few studios (isney, fox, sony pictures, universal and warner bros), but these few will cover most of your library. It is currently not known whether Google is preparing to add more movie studios later.
To use the feature (when available in Greece), you just need to link your accounts using the new Movies Anywhere or the application site. When you link two or more accounts, Google gives you five movies:
Big Hero 6
Ghostbusters
Ice Age
Jason Bourne
The Lego Movie
George is still wondering what he is doing here….
