Elon Musk just announced via tweet that the blue checkmark on accounts will be back on platform on November 29
The $7,99 service he was giving to users the ability to verify their accounts at Twitter adding a blue tick-like mark next to their name, had been hastily withdrawn last week after several after-songs were presented.
Twitter earlier this month debuted the new Blue subscription on iOS. The platform pulled Blue registrations a few days later after a wave of fake verified accounts appeared on the platform.
Various eutrapelas appeared, such as a fake Nintendo account who posted a picture of Mario gesturing, or another accountimpersonating the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and tweeting that insulin is now free.
Όλο αυτό το χάος οδήγησε πολλές εταιρείες να αναστείλουν τις διαφημίσεις στην πλατφόρμα, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των General Motors, General Mills, Audi, Volkswagen and many others. One of the world's largest advertising companies, Omnicom Media Group, has also stopped advertising on Twitter.
In today's tweet Musk, said the blue signal service is coming back on Nov. 29 to make sure it's stable. But after the dismissal of half the company, with thousands of contract workers out of positions and the firing dissenting employees with him, there may not be many people left to make these confirmations. The company no longer even has a communications department.
