You can install Intel GPU drivers without OEM restrictions

The οδήγησης γραφικών της Intel μπορούν πλέον να ενημερώνονται ξεχωριστά από τις προσαρμογές OEM, καθώς η εταιρεία τα έχει αποσυνδέσει από τον κατασκευαστή του you.

Intel

Intel released a new set of GPU driver updates today and they bring a major change for those using OEM PCs, mostly laptops. The latest drivers decouple generic driver updates from OEM customizations, meaning you can now your GPU drivers directly from Intel and without losing the customizations made by your computer manufacturer.

This eliminates the need to wait for OEM validation before you receive the latest Intel Graphics Driver Updates on your PC.

Intel reports about it : We understood how much they want us the freedom to upgrade their systems with GPU drivers that are released regularly and provide the latest game improvements, feature updates and fixes. As of this release, the Intel drivers DCHs are now unlocked for a free upgrade in the Download Center.

According to Intel Notes, you can simply download the .exe files and install the drivers on Intel 6G and later processors, as long as you are running Windows 10 Fall Creators or later. Your PC manufacturer's customizations will remain intact and can be updated separately by your manufacturer via Windows Update.

Theoretically, this means, for example, that Surface users can update their graphics drivers at will, without having to worry about customization created by Microsoft, especially for Surface computers. The same goes for any other computer manufacturer.
