MX Linux 18 Beta 1 available for testing

MX Linux is a Linux distribution that we prefer at It is based on the Debian firm and came from a collaboration between the antiX and MEPIS Linux communities that has stopped growing.

Yesterday dolphin_oracle announced the first beta of version 18.

GIMP 2.10, MESA 18.2.6 firmware, 4.19.5 Linux kernel, Firefox 63.0.3, VLC 3.0.3, Clementine 1.3.1, Thunderbird 52.9.1, and LibreOffice 6.0.1.

Mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) now includes options for LUKS encryption in root, home and swap. Mx-codecs have been updated to install new S3 texture packs that are especially important for Valve / Steam games.
Improved localization: almost all mx-apps received updated translations
New Conky configurations, the screen has more locale options.
