NASA has revealed what will be the next generation spacesuit, destined for the next Mission to the moon.
NASA and the Axiom space they revealed what they will worn by the astronauts of the Artemis III spacecraft when they will walk on the moon. The mission Artemis III is currently scheduled for December 2025.
It will be the first manned lunar landing since Apollo 17 in 1972 and is set to include the first woman and the first person of color to walk on the Moon.
The new space suit will be able to accommodate a wider range of body types. It's also more versatile than older suits, with lights and an HD camera. It can even handle the extreme cold of the permanently shadowed regions on the Moon.
If you're disappointed not to see the iconic white of NASA's older spacesuits, don't worry. This is just the early prototype. The final version it will probably be all white.
