Η NASA published a map today from the program Near Earth Object (NEO). This program searches for and records all small asteroids that have managed to enter the Earth's atmosphere. THE χάρτης of NASA shows the drop points around the world.

Almost all asteroids of this size decompose into the atmosphere and are usually harmless. The notable exception was that of the Chelyabinsk asteroid, which was the largest asteroid that landed the Earth at this time.
New map data could help scientists improve estimates of Near Earth Object (NEO) size distribution.
