Microsoft is releasing a new feature in the Microsoft Edge which incorporates its video conferencing capability Skype's Meet now in the new tab, also known as NTP.
With this new feature, Microsoft aims to help consumers rely on video conferencing to connect with colleagues, friends and relatives without creating a Skype or Microsoft account.
Last month, Microsoft added the feature Skype Meet in publications previews of Windows 10 and the same feature is now rolling out to Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft will add a small video conferencing button to the new Edge tab when the feature is added to your device, as shown below:
When you click the button Meet now, the Edge will open the Skype Web and the setup screen will start Meet now. This will allow you to create a meeting where others can join using the invitation link you send them.
Once created, you can use text messages, voice and video to communicate with participants.
