The 24H2 version of Windows 11, which was released on October 1, 2024, according to Microsoft is a solid update with several feature upgrades, some welcome changes and more.
However, the operating system it still requires a lot of disk space and comes with many parts that some consider unnecessary, especially when installing Windows 11 24H2 on unsupported hardware.
There is a solution for this.
NTDEV, the maker of the tiny11 project, a tool that shrinks Windows 10 and 11, has released an updated version of theletterof creating tiny11 kernels.
What is tiny11 core builder?
It is a script that allows you to remove many parts from the standard picture Windows 11 ISO for a very small system installation. The project developer refers to tiny11 core as a "quick and dirty development testbed" for all kinds of uses.
You should know that tiny11 core is not for you if you want a thin install of Windows 11 for everyday use on, say, unsupported hardware or a PC with a small SSD drive.
tiny11 core is not repairable, which means you can't update it, install plugins, etc. You should choose exactly what you need during the creation process to use it afterwards. In return, you'll be able to run a Windows 11 that only takes up 3GB of disk space.
