Neptune 6.0: Neptune OS is a desktop GNU/Linux distribution. It is based on Debian (Stable), but uses a newer Kernel.
The diversity of distribution except of the newest kernel, is due to the fact that it already haschoice some drivers, but also newer versions of popular applications, such as LibreOffice (6.1.5).
Neptune OS comes with the latest version of the KDE desktop (KDE Plasma 5.14.5). The main goals of the distribution are to provide a reliable desktop with built-in applications for media playback. The distribution also comes on Live DVD for those who wish to try it out before installing.
Neptune 6.0 was released today announcement of the new version.
Version 6.0 brings changes to the look and feel with a new package called Neptune Dark. The new package comes with modified icons that have been optimized for dark themes. The new icons are called Faenza Dark. The distribution "wears" the Linux Kernel 4.19.37 with improved drivers and many bugfixes.
New Plasma 5.14.5, and Discover is now able to upgrade the hardware firmware.
New upgraded applications: LibreOffice 6.1.5.2, Gimp 2.10, Audacity 2.2.2 or Ardour 5.12, and Kdenlive 18.08.2 among many others.
