  1. I recently received an official response from Matthias Behr (netcup Team) storage the storage on the root servers is SATA SSD with RAID 10 and not NVMe SSD. At these prices they make sense because enterprise NVMe SSDs for servers are very expensive!

    • I got a root and it blows, very good speeds, as for the support: Yesterday Sunday I contacted them and they were there, they are probably not civil servants unless they have been squeezed by Merkel and they work on Sunday as well.

      • The competition works wonders, and forces you to have support on Sundays as well.

btw… I am also very interested in root servers, can you tell by measuring the performance of the disk if it is SATA SSD (ie max 520MB / sec read and write) or NVMe (so it will go over 1500MB / sec)?
