Netflix is set to soon block users who use VPNs and DNS proxies to bypass its geo-restrictions companys.
Subscribers are known to use proxies to access content that is only available in selected countries. Depending on the location of the user, the list of Netflix movies can vary significantly.
Until today's announcement, Netflix seems to have silently allowed its subscribers to use such services.
However, Netflix's vice president, Mr. David Fullagar in a post on the company's blog, it said they should "respect and enforce current licensing agreements."
Some members use proxies or "unblockers" to access titles that are not available in their home country. To address this, we will use the same or similar measures as other companies… ”
This means that in the coming weeks, those using proxies and unblockers will not be able to access the service.
The decision to halt the disengagement of services comes a week after Netflix announced the spread of its services to 130 countries.
