News Bar add-on for the Windows 10 task bar

Microsoft has released a new application called News Bar, which is essentially a news ticker that can be applied to the Windows 10 desktop.

The application exists in and is currently currently in beta stage. The application is also available for Greece, and we mention it because it is not yet released for all countries.

News Bar

Microsoft says that the News Bar app is essentially a thread which lets you read the latest news, track stocks, and more, while some basic options like hiding the bar for a certain time when you're working are also available.

"The News Bar brings you the latest news from the Microsoft News network, which includes over 4500 of the most popular sources in the world. Plus, you can set it to give you up-to-date information throughout the day on the stocks you're tracking," Microsoft explains in the app's description.

"Microsoft Windows News Bar works just like the Taskbar of Microsoft Windows. It is there when you need it, where you need it and how you need it. Customize its appearance from the settings for an experience that suits you. If you want to focus somewhere else, do not worry, you can minimize the News Bar at any time and then reset it when you are ready again. ”

To install the application the device must be running Windows 10 in version 1803 (April 2018 Update) or a newer version.

The application is free and can be used in without mouse.
