Xbox of the next generation will be codenamed Anaconda

Microsoft continues to name its Xboxes with names they have the reptiles. So the next Xbox to be released will be codenamed Anaconda.

Initial he had a code name Durango and Xbox One X was codenamed Scorpio. Now it looks like the next generation of Xbox, expected to arrive in 2020, will be called Anaconda. The name came to this weekend from Windows Central along with the revelation that Microsoft has plans to release two new next-generation consoles.

The code name Anaconda will be the equivalent of the current Xbox One X, with improved hardware, such as processors and graphics from AMD. Anaconda will also include an SSD storage space to reduce game loading times. Microsoft also prepares a second console, codenamed Lockhart, which will act as the most affordable Xbox (think like the Xbox One S). Of course, both of these consoles will fully support the existing Xbox Xbox XNoxX compatible games and of course the Xbox One titles.

While it's about the next generation of the next generation Xbox console console, Microsoft could also prepare an Xbox One S-free version for 2019. Windows Central claims that Microsoft may announce next month this cheaper Xbox, with plans to release it in the spring of 2019.

Microsoft's next consoles will also include a strong emphasis on the streaming service of the company's games. Microsoft plans to open public trials of the service in 2019 and will make Xbox games available on PCs, phones and consoles.
