Just three months after the No More Ransom project was announced, more law enforcement agencies from 13 countries have agreed to fight ransomware alongside private businesses.
The new members of the project are: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Colombia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom you are looking for Greece, we do not save us, as the ransom seems to be paid). 
In the coming months, more law enforcement agencies and private sector organizations are expected to join the project.
Their collaboration will lead to more free decryption tools available free of charge, helping more and more people to decipher their devices and unlock their information. Virtually the project hurts cybercriminals where they are most painful: in their wallets.
The objectives of the project are supported by Eurojust and European Commission, demonstrating the EU's concern about the growing threat of ransomware.
No More Ransom started 25 July 2016 from the Dutch National Police, Europol, Intel Security and Kaspersky Lab, introducing a new level of cooperation between law enforcement and the private sector in the fight against ransomware.
During the two in the first few months, over 2.500 people managed to take advantage of the No More Ransom service, decrypting their devices without having to pay the criminals, using basic decryption tools of various malware (CoinVault, WildFire and Shade).
This deprived cybercriminals of an estimated 1.350.000 XNUMX in ransom.
Currently, there are five decryption tools on the official website of the project, and we expect to see very soon more.
In order to broaden the public, the portal has now been adapted to support different languages.
