Gadget Remote Control is the object of the company's Nod Ring Nod Labs.
Nod Labs speaks of the most sophisticated ring gesture control- ένα «τηλεχειριστήριο παντός χρήσης» (universal controller) που επιτρέπει τον έλεγχο όλων των «έξυπνων» συσκευών που συναντά κανείς στην καθημερινή ζωή, περιλαμβανομένων τηλεφώνων, tablets, Google Glass, ρολογιών, οικιακών εφαρμογών, τηλεοράσεων, υπολογιστών κ.α.
As the company underscores, unlike other rings, the device will be released directly on the market without the need for some crowdfunding, and will be able to work with iOS and Android, Mac OSX and Windows, Bluetooth and WiFi devices, intelligent Nest thermostats etc. The cost is 149 dollars.
Nod is designed to be worn on the pointer, but it can also be placed on other fingers, depending on the user's preference. The company offers 12 sizes, and notes that it is available for use all day, under different conditions, from office to home. Also, the ring is waterproof, while in the case of multiple users, the names of the different people are displayed on the screen to see who has control.
According to the company, it is also possible to simultaneously use more than one ring, which opens the way for its use as a game controller.
In the first phase, the ring will be available in the US, but the company says it will soon be possible to send it to overseas customers as well.
“Nod smoothly transforms your movements into commands. It brings the world around you to life as you control everything from laptop you up to the living room lights, with a movement of the hand. Just like magic," says Nod Labs on its website.
