It is now known that HMD Global is expected to re-launch the Nokia 3310 later this week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The next one device will be available to buy exclusively at Carphone Warehouse in the UK.
The new Nokia 3310 as mentioned above will be presented tomorrow at the Mobile World Congress with two different devices: Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.
HMD Global has not yet announced whether the new Nokia 3310 will be launched globally or only in select countries companys. But considering the fact that 126 million units of the original Nokia 3310 were sold worldwide 17 years ago, it's probably safe to say that the new version will be released in a lot of countries.
A Mobile Today publication reveals that Carphone Warehouse will be the distribution company chosen to work with (initially?) HMD Global on United Kingdom. The selling company will only be able to make the device available in the UK.
With the resumption of the 3310 model, HMD Global is said to want to meet the needs of the buying audience that still cares about durable devices and extended battery life.
Rumor has it that the new Nokia 3310 will have about the same design as its predecessor, but will be lighter and slimmer. Additionally, the phone could come with a larger color screen set uses Series 30+ UI (user interface), and which will allow users to see more content. The new Nokia 3310 will be available in red, green, yellow, black, gray and blue colors.
The 2017 version of the device is expected to cost € 59 or £ 50.
According to the Chinese website Vtech, the new Nokia 3310 will have an 84 × 84 color screen.
According to the well-known leaker Evan Blass, you can imagine the device if you think of an old Nokia 3310 in conjunction with a new Nokia 150.
Few more Nokia 3310 deets:
-runs Series 30+ w color scrn
-multiple colors, faceplates poss. swappable
- think: mashup of old 3310 & new 150.- Evan Blass (@evleaks) February 24, 2017
Anyone who remembers the snake, one of the toys of the old Nokia 3310, will probably wonder if the new device is contained in the modern version. There are currently no rumors to confirm or exclude it.
