Η HMD Global is set to launch the Nokia 8, a device that could be an Android alternative to Apple's iPhone 7 Plus, as it will feature a dual cameraand powerful hardware such as the chip Snapdragon 835.
A publication of the German website WinFuture reveals more details about the upcoming Nokia 8, pointing out that the device could be launched later this month. This means that the new phone could be released in the next two weeks, although HMD could present it in early August.
The Nokia 8 is codenamed TA-1004 and is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the same chip used by the Samsung Galaxy S8 and OnePlus 5. This processor is currently the flagship chip for mobile devices, and HMD clearly wants to compete with the big names with its new model.
The device will have 4GB of RAM, but there are also rumors suggesting that a 6GB RAM version will probably be launched as well. The new Nokia 8 will have default storage capacity at 64 GB and will probably support microSD cards.
The device is said to feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with analysis 1440x2560 pixels (Gorilla Glass 5), and will probably come with a Zeiss dual camera system, as HMD hopes to compete with the iPhone 7 Plus.
Rumors indicate that Nokia 8 could cost from 600 dollars, and that it will come in 4 color shades: blue, steel, gold blue and copper gold.
