In a post, Nvidia announced that it will stop supporting Windows 7 and Windows 8 / 8.1 starting in October 2021. All graphics card driver updates, including performance improvements, new features, and bug fixes, will be exclusively available for Windows 10.

He clarified, however, that this does not mean that the company will completely ignore the old versions of Windows, as after the last update focusing on performance, on August 31, 2021, critical security updates will continue to come for systems running Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. And this at least until September 2024.

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft officially ended support for Windows 7, so it's a pleasant surprise that Nvidia will continue to provide at least security support.
