ObsidianOS is an innovative GNU/Linux distribution based primarily on Arch Linux (it also supports other system bases such as Gentoo, Void or Debian.) The distribution was designed to offer maximum reliability and security by preventing system failures from problematic software updates.
The key features that make the distribution stand out:
A/B Partition Layout: It works in a similar way to Android and ChromeOS. The operating system exists twice on your disk. If an update fails or causes an error, you can simply reboot to the previous, working version.
No complex file systems: It builds on the simplicity and robustness of EXT4, eliminating the need for complex snapshots.
Multiple Editions: It is available in various desktop versions (Base, KDE Plasma, COSMIC) and also supports other system bases such as Gentoo, Void or Debian.
