An incredible story took place in China. A he had to travel 500 km until he ran out of fuel because he couldn't turn off the cruise control.

A Chinese driver was driving his SUV on December 2 Great Wall Haval H6O, which are manufactured in China and Bulgaria. He suddenly realized that he could not bring his vehicle to a stop and, in a panic, contacted the highway department for help.

According AutoHome publication Mr. Luo was driving the vehicle in Hunan Province to travel a distance of about 200 km, from Changsha City to Yichun City. While inside the moving SUV he activated the cruise control, setting the speed of his vehicle to just over 100 km/h.

Cruise Control is a useful system that is now present in several cars, and it can automatically maintain a constant speed in the car, thus contributing to the driver's rest and fuel economy. It is particularly useful on highways, but in the case of the Chinese, its use almost turned into a nightmare.

About halfway through his journey on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao highway, Luo found that not only was he unable to cancel the cruise control, but he was unable to slow his vehicle down as the brakes could not intervene and cancel it!

The driver panicked at first but managed to maintain his composure and call for help from the special section of the highway where he was. A special was immediately set up for his rescue and accompanying vehicles opened the road in front of him so that he did not have to slow down.

At the same time, the highway officials also contacted Haval engineers, in case they could remotely provide a solution to the , but without result. So the SUV continued on the highway and finally stopped after about 500 km when it ran out of fuel!

You mean after this adventure the car was sent for inspection to determine the cause of the failure of the cruise control as well as the brake system. Good technology, great convenience, but don't "fit"!
