"We already have a private preview of Office 2016," said Kirk Koenigsbauer, vice president of team development for Office 365 Client Apps and Services.
"We are now ready to distribute the program to commercial Office 365 customers, an important milestone that will give IT professionals and developers the opportunity to test before the upcoming release."
Posted in blog of the company, Koenigsbauer details some of the improvements the new one will include version preview, like several Outlook add-ins: faster and more reliable search, more flexibility in defining what mail you want to store on your device, and multiple authentication criteria through the Active Directory Authentication Library feature.

The preview version, according to Microsoft, does not include all the features it plans to have in the final product.
