Everyone plays games during video conferencing

Do you think your co-workers browse the web during teleconferencing? You are laughing! They just play games.

A new research from Word Tips finds that American workers are, first and foremost, players !! A survey of 1.000 full-time computer workers found that a third of them play games during working hours, for at least four or more days a week, and almost 15% play games during teleconferencing.

As you can imagine, this "professional" occupation resulted in 29% admitting to missing some video conferencing and a third making mistakes during meetings because they were playing a game.

The search does not stop there. According to her, employees who participated in video conferencing with mobile devices, prefer games:

  1. Candy crush saga
  2. Angry Birds
  3. Words with Friends
  4. Tetris
  5. Sudoku

In computers, employees choose:

  1. Solitaire
  2. Minecraft
  3. Fortnite
  4. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
  5. RuneScape

Men, perhaps because of testosterone, prefer games that involve some rage, such as Angry Birds and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Women prefer to show who is the boss in Candy Crush Saga, Words with Friends and Solitaire.

Managers like to play more than employees. 86% say they have played somewhere during working hours and an average of 54 minutes per week. One in 10 managers say they have played during face-to-face meetings.

Before you start looking at your co-workers with suspicion, find out that 77% say that playing helps them relax and then increase creativity and job satisfaction, avoiding afternoon exhaustion.

Of course the research was done in America, and the officials interviewed may not have been completely honest, but do not think that human nature differs from country to country. In Greece, something similar is happening now with work from home.
