For the first time in history, one billion people used Facebook in a single day last Monday.
That means one in seven people στον πλανήτη ήταν συνδεδεμένος κοινωνικό στο network for some time during that day.
Mark Zuckerberg used his account on Facebook to announce the milestone. It's an incredibly impressive number.
Facebook first reached 1 billion active 2012 users, and statistics on the page were as average hits per month as there are many who visit the site once every two weeks. The social network claims that 1.310.000.000 currently has active users every month on the page that includes company information.
Thus, almost the same number of people who use the platform on a monthly basis visited the social network on a Monday in a day. It is, of course, a sign that the most popular social network is still discovering ways to hold back its users.
The CEO mentioned the following:
I am so proud of our community and the progress we have made. Our community gives every person a voice, to promote communication and to include everyone in the opportunities of today world us.
A more open and connected world is a better world. It brings stronger relationships to those you love, a stronger economy with more opportunities, and a stronger society that reflects all our values.
Facebok also published a video to celebrate. You can watch the video and read the full announcement on the Zuckerberg profile from the link below.
