Many device owners OnePlus 7 Pro reported that their devices received two spam notifications. The messages contained random letters.
OnePlus confirmed that the alerts were the result of an internal audit and were sent to the devices worldwide. It did not confirm how many devices had received the messages, but said it would share more soon information.
OnePlus Reported on Twitter that it "apologies for any inconvenience" and assured users that its team is investigating the bug.
On the other hand, several owners OnePlus devices they posted snapshots of her screens on Twitter showing the same two garbled messages, one in Latin and the other in Chinese.
By tapping on the messages, according to information posted by the owners of OnePlus 7 Pro devices, the phone was trying to open a browser that then did not display a page.
