OpenAI acquired the chat.com domain, likely for well over $10 million. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted a one-word tweet this morning that simply mentioned “chat.com”.

Chat.com is one of the oldest domains on the web, having been first registered in September 1996. Last year, it was acquired by HubSpot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah for $15,5 million.
OpenAI has not said how much it paid for Chat.com.
