OpenAI's ChatGPT API waiting list has opened for developers interested in using the ChatGPT model in their web applications, services and products. Enthusiasm for ChatGPT has been huge ever since OpenAI has released the Research edition. 
So the company seems ready to open up the service to the developer community for anyone interested in using the model's capabilities via an API.
How to join the waiting list
To join the waiting list, you just need to fill out a form with your contact details, first name, last name, email and company name.
However, in the registration form, which you can find here, you should indicate how you plan to use the ChatGPT model. Options include creating a new product, integrating the model into an existing product, general exploration of possibilities, and academic research.
Developers are of course free to share any ideas they wish to build with the ChatGPT API.
However, we should mention that applying for API access does not necessarily mean that it will be granted. The form asks users to review in security policies of OpenAI if granted access.
