openSUSE Leap 42.2 New stable version

The openSUSE Project announced the overall availability of the openSUSE Leap 42.2 operating system.

It is essentially a Service Pack, the second major update for openSUSE Leap 42 since open-source and free distribution. openSUSE Leap 42.2 in development for the past six months. The update brings many new features to openSUSE, some of which its users rolling version Tumbleweed already have them.

In this version, openSUSE Project chose to use the Linux 4.4 long-term support core, providing users with a safer, more reliable and more stable platform that can easily be installed in too many production environments, including but not limited to in cloud infrastructures, virtual machines, and organizations.
