The openSUSE development team has announced a new version of the openSUSE Leap release. The new release, openSUSE Leap 42.3, is one information maintenance for the Leap series, and brings mostly minor system updates as well as package updates.
“The Leap 42.3 release provides users with a reliable server operating system for deploying IT services in physical, and virtual environments or Cloud.
The third edition of the series Leap of the 42 series has more than 10.000 packages and offers users of the stable version of 42 an update update and support for more hardware.
The release comes with the same Linux 4.4 Long-Term-Support (LTS) kernel that was also available with the previous Leap version.
Leap 42.3 continues to uses KDE version 5.8 as default desktop with, as well as GNOME 3.20, which is also used by SUSE Linux Enterprise.
From program installation there are options for more desktops.”
