Opera Software has just released the new stable version of Opera 41, the popular cross-platform browser for all supported desktop operating systems.
Perhaps the biggest new feature of Opera 41 is the improvement in timemovementof the new browser. According to Opera Software, with the new Opera 41 you'll notice an improvement of up to 86% in launch times, compared to previous versions.
Improvement in boot time decreases depending on tabs that should be restored during app opening. So for approximately 10 tabs, the app start time is still above 50% according to Opera Software.
This is achieved by a new mode priority that focuses on loading tabs and the active tab for the first time on startup. All other open tabs in Opera 41 load with lower priority, the company says.
But in addition to the above, Opera 41 brings with two additional improvements. First, the new version promises better battery savings when you do video conferencing via WebRTC, giving priority to hardware-compatible codecs when available.
In addition, Opera can limit the number of pixels when it is in battery power mode and if possible can reduce CPU usage during teleconferencing.
